In Ukraine, Breslav's followers are no longer allowed to enter the country following President Vladimir Zlanski's decision. Those arriving from Israel are refused and isolated in the rooms until their return to Israel. There are quite a few followers who come from different countries and through connexion flights.

Today (Sunday) a flight from Paris landed in Kiev, immediately after the flight the plane connected to the sleeve, but the passengers were not allowed to get off the plane and stayed there for a long time, with quite a few children and adults on board. When they tried to get off, they were allegedly beaten by local security personnel who refused to allow them to get off the plane.

Community members say there were children who wanted to go to the bathroom and adults who wanted to get off the plane, but were refused. A statement issued by Breslav said that "anyone who was on the plane with a photo identifying his Jewishness was forced to stay on the plane."

There are currently about 2,000 followers in Uman, most of whom report good feelings and joy that they have managed to reach Uman ahead of the holidays. On Thursday evening, another unpleasant incident took place in which a number of devotees who came to the city claimed to have been beaten by Ukrainians, who were trying to prevent them from entering the city.
