The design and furniture trends of summer 2020 are perhaps less excessive and colorful than usual, but they reflect the period we lived: that same house that hosted and protected us for weeks, will change with us. What are companies proposing and what do homeowners love right now? What has become essential? Here are some design trends from the Houzz community
View and light - The element of natural light is increasingly important, perhaps as a result of time spent at home. For the future, homeowners want more natural light and refreshing views. Well for those who already have them, for others, it's time to rethink windows and balconies and the structure of the house itself.
Bathroom /
Living room bathroom - If the trend towards the boutique bathroom has always been present, now it leans towards really pretty bathrooms, decorated with paintings and statues as small living rooms. Only the bookcase is missing (autumn-winter trend?)!

Bathroom / The bathroom with wood inserts - After the trend of wood has invaded our kitchens with the rustrial style (rustic industrial), many bathrooms seem to be unable to give up a wooden element, whether it is the floor or a detail of the furniture washbasin. The bathroom remains clean and sober but is made warmer and more comfortable by the visual and tactile element of the wood.
Earth Colors - Not only do colors relax, they tend to revolve around earth color palettes. With the exception of blue, which is also experiencing a comeback, many of the new products of the great Italian and international design brands have chosen colors such as terracotta, mustard, browns, in matching palettes but which seem to dampen the enthusiasm of other years in in which fluorescent or super charged colors prevailed.

Floralism If the colored walls are now cleared of customs, a new trend follows the jungalow style of a few years ago , focusing on flowers. The green element of the plants now dear to many apartments is colored with floral elements, even brave ones on the walls, on the carpets (they are coming into production) and as details in the bedroom. While not new, the flower transforms the previous 'jungle style' into something more refined but which satisfies our desire for nature.

Vintangi, vintage + scandi. The new classic 1950s rigor meets Scandinavian minimalism. Although many fairs, such as the Salone del Mobile, have been skipped (but 2021 is in preparation), companies have continued to present their new products. Among the most evident is a rigorous and clean 50s style in which materials such as marble and dark wood return, refreshed by the encounter with the Scandinavian contemporary.
