Katy Perry not only released an album in the past week - she also became a mother for the first time.
The singer and her fiancé, actor Orlando Bloom, announced that they were "in love and amazement" about the birth of their daughter Daisy Dove Bloom.
Perry wasn't always as happy as he was right now.
Her complicated man's stories made the rounds for years - she had a long on-off relationship with singer John Mayer.
From 2010 to 2011 she was even married: The marriage to Russell Brand lasted 14 months.
Perry has now spoken about the relationship with the British comedian in an interview that was published on Sunday.
"It was the first break with my idealistic spirit," she said in an interview with "60 Minutes Australia".
"Everything happened at the same time"
"I had great success at the age of 23, 24, 25 and then I met someone who was interesting and stimulating," said Perry of meeting Brand.
"It was like a tornado, everything happened at the same time."
You've always dealt with friction, resistance and challenge in relationships, Perry said.
She knows that about herself.
She always thought, "Okay, it'll take work, but we're going to achieve something great."
She was hoping that all the pressure would eventually form a beautiful diamond.
Perry had already spoken about Brand in an interview with Vogue in 2013.
He told her by text message that he wanted to get a divorce, she claimed at the time.
She married him out of love and initially blamed herself for the breakup, Perry said.
Then she realized the truth.
However, she did not reveal any details.

Perry also spoke about her current relationship with Orlando Bloom in an interview with "60 Minutes Australia".
There is "healthy friction" between them, the relationship is "very open, very communicative" and nothing is swept under the rug.
The two have been a couple since 2016.
Perry said it was different than dating.
Weekend lovers are fun, but the relationship with Bloom is solid.
The singer said: "I think if we get to the end of our lives together we will be each other's greatest teachers".
