After the demonstrations against the Corona measures at the weekend, the Berlin police are investigating an incident in which a woman is said to have been hit on the back by a police officer. A police spokesman said it was about a complaint and suspicion of bodily harm in office.
Will be determined by the commissariat for official offenses at the Berlin State Criminal Police Office (LKA). The police are aware of videos showing the incident. "Claims that the woman died are not true," said the spokesman. Police President Barbara Slowik also said in the Interior Committee that she knew nothing about a death after a police operation.
The woman took part in a prohibited gathering at the Victory Column in the Tiergarten, the spokesman said. She was then arrested by the police. She is said to have kicked a police officer in the stomach, the spokesman said.
The woman was slightly injured when she was arrested, but did not seek treatment from a doctor. She was released on site after her personal details were determined.
Videos should document the incident
Videos intended to show the incident show the woman lying on her stomach on the street, screaming and being held down by four police officers. At first, the police tried unsuccessfully to pull the arms of the woman, which she was holding under her body, behind her back in order to handcuff her.
A police officer then punched her twice in the middle of the upper back between the shoulder blades. The officers then pull her right arm behind her back.
