She now lives with her one-year-old daughter in prison: the rapper Schwesta Ewa has been moved to the mother-child facility of the Fröndenberg penal hospital.

A spokesman for JVA Willich II confirmed the change on July 20.

The 36-year-old was last imprisoned there.

"We are now spending the rest of the prison term in a mother-and-child prison," wrote the musician, whose real name was Ewa Malanda, on Instagram on Sunday.

That is the best thing "that could have happened to us".

The rapper had come to JVA Willich II in January.

She had previously tried to find a place in the mother-child facility, but the judiciary denied her, among other things, with reference to her personality structure.

In the meantime, that has changed.

According to Ralf Peters, spokesman for the Willich II prison, Malanda was initially moved to open prison on June 4.

"During this time, she met all the requirements for a transfer to the mother-child facility."

The singer, who had previously worked as a prostitute, was sentenced to two and a half years in prison in Frankfurt / Main in 2017.

The Federal Court of Justice later confirmed the judgment.

According to the indictment, she went on several "prostitution trips" with young fans.

She was convicted of multiple assaults and tax evasion.

Eight months of pre-trial detention count towards her prison term.
