The streaming news market is about to be disrupted in Britain.
Two new channels, whose model will be directly inspired by Fox News in the United States, should soon see the light of day.
They would compete directly with BBC News and Sky News.
One, currently called GB News, has already obtained a broadcasting license from Ofcom, the British media regulator, according to the English press.
It is to be launched early next year by the company All Perspectives, controlled by Anglo-American investors, associated with the telecoms magnate John Malone, owner of the Liberty Global group (Liberty Media, Virgin Media, Discovery, etc.).
One of the co-founders of the future channel, Andrew Cole, also sits on the board of directors of Liberty Global.
A second project is this time led by News UK, one of the subsidiaries of media giant Rupert Murdoch, which publishes the newspapers
The Sun
and
The Times
in Great Britain.
