It turns out that birds do not die in secret, but with the approval of the government: the
holidays are upon us, the travelers in the field, but also the hunters.
So if you see on your trip some dead birds you will know that they may have been hunted by hunters that the state allows to shoot winged birds, just like that for the sport.
Yesterday (Tuesday) began the wildlife hunting season in Israel, which will last five months, until the end of January 2021. Despite the request of the Society for the Protection of Nature, which was transferred to the Nature and Parks Authority about two months ago, to ban hunting of queues. Hunt them this year, as usual.
And here is already "fruit" for hunting approval in Israel: This
morning, Yaron Cherka, a bird from the north, documented hunters shooting to death in numbers of queues found in the fields of the Hula Valley, which as mentioned is an endangered species.
There is no more room for 'sporty' hunting, for the purposes of leisure and pleasure.

The Queue Bird: A World in Endangered Species
About two months ago, the Society for the Protection of Nature launched Let the Animals Live and Animals in a public campaign aimed at abolishing "sporty" hunting in Israel and aggravating the punishment for illegal hunting.
As part of the campaign, MKs Miki Haimovich and Katie Sheetrit, about two weeks ago, together with 17 other Knesset members, submitted a bill, which was intended to abolish sport hunting in Israel and increase the punishment for illegal hunting.
"Continued hunting of queues in Israel, is not acceptable," the Society for the Protection of Nature said.
"This is a species defined by the United Nations Environmental Protection Agency as a globally endangered species.
Hunting of queues, tranquilizers and a few other species is done for the pleasure of the hunters only.
These species are harmless and there is no justification for their hunting.
"The pressure on Israel's wildlife is growing and there is no more room for 'sporting' hunting, for the purposes of leisure and pleasure, certainly not when it comes to endangered species, such as the migratory peace and the usual queue."
Real sports - here are the results of sport hunting in Israel.

A decrease of up to 50% in the amount of the queue
A request from the Society for the Protection of Nature reads: "In the last 30 years, there has been a decrease of up to 50% in the number of breeding populations of the queue. Despite this, it is still on the list of species allowed for hunting. "From the list of species allowed in the hunt, there is a real concern that the sound of the queue will no longer be heard in Israel. We turn to you, in order for you to ban the hunting of the existing queue as part of the upcoming hunting licenses."
This request, as stated, was not accepted and in the current hunting season that began yesterday, the Nature and Parks Authority allowed hunting of existing queues.
The Nature and Parks Authority stated:
"The application of the Society for the Protection of Nature was received by the Nature and Parks Authority only recently, and forwarded to the relevant bodies. This type of change is not within the authority of the Nature and Parks Authority and requires complex and lengthy legislation. Meanwhile".
However, the Society for the Protection of Nature sent the application almost two months ago, on July 6, and nothing has been done about it yet.
