The Ministry of Health of the Nation reported this Friday the death of another 262 people from the coronavirus and that in the last hours 10,684 new cases were confirmed.
"Since the last report issued, 155 new deaths have been reported," they indicated in the evening report.
The deaths are in addition to the 107 that were reported this morning.
In this way, the total number of deaths from the coronavirus since the pandemic settled in the country amounted to 9,623, while that of confirmed cases rose to 461,882.
Presenting the morning report, the Secretary of Access to Health,
Carla Vizzotti
, said that there are specific areas such as the capital of Jujuy or the metropolitan area of Mendoza with
"more tension" on the health system
, not only in regard to the beds themselves, but about "the human resource" for patient care.
On the other hand, Vizzotti reported that, "after a very important work of the Ministry for the recruitment of volunteers", "support operations" are going out to various provinces.
Of the total of confirmed cases in Argentina, 1,202 (0.3%) are "imported", 101,394 (22.5%) are close contacts of confirmed cases, 280,927 (62.3%) are cases of community circulation and the rest are found in epidemiological research.
On Friday, 25,351 tests were carried out and since the beginning of the outbreak 1,350,038 diagnostic tests for this disease were carried out, which is equivalent to
29,751.1 samples per million inhabitants
.
The index that measures the number of positives on tests carried out was located yesterday at 51.4%, that is, 1 out of every 2 analyzes ended up detecting coronavirus.
