Eight months after his death, the actor Jan Fedder receives a memorial plaque on the church square of Hamburg's Michel.
"Jan Fedder was a child of Michel. Baptism, confirmation, wedding and his funeral service all took place here. That's why we remember him with our own Michel plaque," said Senior Pastor Alexander Röder.
There are already 201 Michel panels on the church square, on which more than 16,000 people have immortalized their memories for 25 years.

Jan Fedder's plaque lies next to the plaque of the former Federal Chancellor Helmut Schmidt (1918-2015).
"Jan would have liked that very much. He was a great admirer of Helmut Schmidt. The two were unique for Hamburg," said widow Marion Fedder.
As a police officer Dirk Matthies, Fedder was the face of the ARD early evening series "Großstadtrevier" for almost three decades.
He died on December 30, 2019 at the age of 64 after a long-standing cancer.
The funeral service took place on January 14th.
Since then, a great many people had paid their last respects to the actor at his grave, leaving flowers and messages.
