The Neuquén Ministry of Tourism

annulled the concession

of the Chapelco ski center bar in which the quarantine was violated and became known after the viralization of images in which an important group of people were seen drinking beer and enjoying the snow without masks or social distance as preventive measures against the coronavirus.

The measure affects the "gastronomic service provider TORINO BAR BISTRO SOCIEDAD DE HECHO DE URQUIZA NE AND SCHNIEPP EE, CUIT: 33-71274360-9, located in the Cerro Chapelco Ski Resort, in the town of San Martín de los Andes."

The decision was based on "

non-compliance with the corresponding Protocols

and the sanitary measures dictated by the National and Provincial Government in the face of the Sanitary Emergency declared by COVID-19".

The images were taken over the weekend at Cerro Chapelco, in the province of Neuquén.

The ski and snowboard center, located 19 kilometers from the city of San Martín de los Andes.

Among the considerations of Resolution 60/2020 of the provincial Ministry of Tourism, it was recalled that Neuquén adhered to the Decree of Necessity and Urgency No. 714/20 of the National Executive Power, which established the measure of "social, preventive and mandatory distancing" and that extended until September 20, including the effects and scope of the various national and provincial regulations related to the health emergency.

The resolution of the Ministry of Tourism of Neuquén.

There they remarked that "by means of Resolution No. 052 of the Cabinet Headquarters, the basic health protocols for tourist activities, authorized tourist accommodation services, ski centers and snow parks were approved" and that "by virtue of the resulting facts Of public knowledge, the gastronomic service provider TORINO BAR BISTRO, located in Cerro Chapelco Ski Resort in the town of San Martín de los Andes,

has breached the general rules of conduct and the activity protocols

established in articles 6 and 7 of the Decree of Necessity and Urgency No. 576/20 ″.

This regulation requires that “during the validity of the social, preventive and compulsory distancing, people must maintain a minimum distance of two (2) meters between them, use face masks in shared spaces, assiduously sanitize their hands, cough in the elbow crease, disinfect surfaces, ventilate the environments and strictly comply with the protocols of activities and the recommendations and instructions of the provincial and national health authorities ”.

All these standards did not exist within the facilities

of the gastronomic establishment in question.

About

three thousand people visited Cerro Chapelco

last weekend to participate in a ski and snowboard course, which was enabled for residents of San Martín de los Andes, as well as for those of the towns of Junín de los Andes and Villa La Angostura, local media reported.

However, Fernando Rubio, in charge of the San Martín de los Andes prosecutor's office, initiated a file on the understanding that "there could be a crime", since "there would be no compliance with current health policies" in the province and the country by COVID-19.

"We want to identify those who do not have a domicile in San Martín de los Andes and how they did to get to this town," said the prosecutor.

They were able to establish that

seven of those who appear in the video were identified and notified

.

Two of them reside in the provincial capital and, according to versions of the locals, they could have arrived with a special permit to care for an older adult, like many others who were present there.

From the Headquarters of the Neuquén Cabinet, they indicated: "In view of the events that occurred at the Chapelco Ski Center that have become known today through social networks, the Provincial Government communicates that it is acting together with the prosecution and the municipality to establish all responsibilities in them ".

“We identified this situation that was taking place at the end of the day and we spoke with the local dealer about this serious irregularity.

It was something isolated: it will not happen again

”, explained Gallardo.

And he added: "We have been working without any inconvenience for more than 40 days and demanding compliance with all health protocols for those who arrive at the ski center."
