The Neuquén Ministry of Tourism
annulled the concession
of the Chapelco ski center bar in which the quarantine was violated and became known after the viralization of images in which an important group of people were seen drinking beer and enjoying the snow without masks or social distance as preventive measures against the coronavirus.
The measure affects the "gastronomic service provider TORINO BAR BISTRO SOCIEDAD DE HECHO DE URQUIZA NE AND SCHNIEPP EE, CUIT: 33-71274360-9, located in the Cerro Chapelco Ski Resort, in the town of San Martín de los Andes."
The decision was based on "
non-compliance with the corresponding Protocols
and the sanitary measures dictated by the National and Provincial Government in the face of the Sanitary Emergency declared by COVID-19".
The images were taken over the weekend at Cerro Chapelco, in the province of Neuquén.
The ski and snowboard center, located 19 kilometers from the city of San Martín de los Andes.

In the midst of the controversy, the head of Institutional Relations of Chapelco, Diego Gallardo, spoke with different Neuquén media and explained that the episode occurred on Saturday, August 22.
“We identified this situation that was taking place at the end of the day and we spoke with the local dealer about this serious irregularity.

”, explained Gallardo.
