Superhero actors are also apparently not immune to the virus: According to reports from various US media, film star Robert Pattinson is said to have tested positive for Covid-19.

Accordingly, the filming of the comic book blockbuster "The Batman" in London was interrupted for the second time.

The start of the film, which has been eagerly awaited by fans, is postponed to October 1, 2021.

The production company Warner Bros. merely stated that a member of the team had been infected with the virus and was therefore quarantined.

According to information from the magazine "Vanity Fair", this is the 34-year-old actor of "Batman" himself. The industry journals "Variety" and "The Hollywood Reporter" also report from an unnamed source who confirmed this.

The work under director Matt Reeves had only started again a few days ago.

They had to be stopped in March because of the outbreak of the pandemic, seven weeks after the first day of shooting.

It is not yet clear how long the sick team member will have to isolate and when the cameras can be switched on again.

The cost of Warner Bros. continues to rise with each day off;

the budget for blockbusters like "The Batman" is usually well over $ 150 million anyway.

The case shows how fragile the situation is for Hollywood studios, which are slowly ramping up their productions despite Corona.

Also in England, Universal is working on the next installment in the Jurassic Park series (Jurassic Park: Dominion), in New Zealand James Cameron is slated to continue working on Avatar 2, and in Australia, after Tom Hanks' Covid-19 recovery, that is Filming of an Elvis biography in the starting blocks, in which Hanks plays the manager of the young Kings of Rockn 'Roll.

The studios have to implement expensive hygiene protocols, which should guarantee that the sets remain corona-free.

This includes simple measures such as regular fever measurements, but also renting entire hotels in which the teams can be accommodated without contact with the outside world.

In the case of "The Batman", these measures obviously did not help either.
