(ANSA) - ROME, SEPTEMBER 04 - The singer-songwriter Melody Gardot announces her new, long-awaited album with the release of a single in which she duets with Sting.
The song Little Something, released by Decca Records, combines the unmistakable voices of Melody and Stingin in a lively and Latin-like pop song.
The song was composed by the two artists, by guitarist Dominic Miller (historical collaborator of the great songwriter) and by the French producer Jen Jis.
"This new song - said Sting - is permeated by contagious joy, and it was a lot of fun to intertwine my voice with that delightful Melody Gardot. I hope you can feel our smile as we sing."
"During these very complicated times - added Melody - collaborating is the only salvation for us musicians. It was such a surprise when Jen Jis showed up with this track, and then discovering that it was a duet with Sting! I recognize that it is something far from my usual genre, I was attracted to the idea of testing myself with something new… this is music! ".
Melody Gardot's upcoming album (on DeccaRecords label, October 23) is a celebration - with an orchestral background - of the singer's jazz roots.
