The share of companies that complained of serious operational risks that endanger their survival in 2020 is 38% overall but it is much higher in some of the main tourism-oriented sectors: 57.8% of companies in the accommodation and 66.5% of those in catering, and more than six out of ten businesses in the culture, sports and entertainment sectors. This is what emerges from the memory on the August decree filed by Istat in the Senate Budget Commission. The crisis generated by the Covid emergency, highlights the Institute of Statistics, seems to have "displaced" a significant portion of the companies in the tourism-oriented sectors, especially the smaller ones. In particular, about one in three companies in culture, sports and entertainment has not implemented any crisis response strategies, a share that drops to just under 20% in catering and accommodation services.
