(ANSA) - ROME, SEPTEMBER 05 - Activists of the climate protest movement Extinction Rebellion (XR) in Great Britain have made a protest sit-in, blocking access to the presses of newspapers of the News Corp publishing group headed by Rupert Murdoch, including the Times and the Sun, but not only, delaying publication.

Police have arrested at least 65 militants from the UK-born movement which is no stranger to force actions in an attempt to strengthen politicians' agenda against climate change.

Police in the county of Hertfordshire, north of London, were alerted last night by employees of the typography, in Broxbourne, where a hundred activists with some vans blocked the access roads by chaining themselves to any structure.

Protesters had banners saying "Free the truth" and "Refugees are welcome here".

Extinction Rebellion accuses Murdoch's newspapers - including the Times, the Sun and its Sundays and the Scottish Sun - of ignoring the problems of global warming.

In addition to the News Corp newspapers, the printing house also prints the Daily Mail, Daily Telegraph, with their relatives, and the London-based tabloid free press Evening Standard, all of which are conservative.
