In line for those interested in Greece ahead of the holidays: The
island of Rhodes is added to the list of destinations that can be flown to from Israel, without the need for re-insulation.
Greek authorities have informed Israeli airlines that it will be possible to fly to the Greek island without having to return in isolation.
This adds Rhodes to the list of destinations in Greece that can be reached by direct flights from Israel: Athens, Thessaloniki, Kos, Corfu and Crete, and a total of six destinations in Greece.
As with other Greek destinations, passengers will have to present at the entrance to Rhodes an English corona test done 72 hours before the flight, register on the Greek website and register on the website of the Ministry of Health.
As reported last week in Walla!
Tourism, all Israeli tourists will also be required to undergo corona tests in Greece, and not in the form of samples as has been the case so far.
The new procedure will take place at least until September 15 this year, according to Greek authorities.
As you may recall, at present only 1,200 Israelis can enter the various Greek destinations per week, due to the increase in morbidity in Corona in Israel, as well as in Greece, which has been recording a percentage increase in morbidity in recent weeks.
To date, 11,524 people have been infected with the virus in Greece, of whom only 284 have died and 6,486 have recovered.
