Anyone who hears the term "Royal Wedding" thinks of the wedding of Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan in 2018 nowadays. The groom's parents had their "Royal Wedding" decades earlier: In 1981, Princess Diana and Prince Charles married.

The fourth season of the Netflix series "The Crown" will be about the wedding ceremony.

The up to now rather unknown young actress Emma Corrin embodies Diana.

She has now spoken to the British "Vogue" about the filming of the wedding.

An exact copy of Diana's dress was made for the scene.

The designers at the time, David and Elizabeth Emanuel, also collaborated.

"A team of ten people helped me put the dress on because it's so huge," Corrin said in the interview.

She would have shot the scene where the public first saw Diana in the dress.

"I ran out - and it went very quiet," said Corrin.

"This dress is so much Diana, more than any outfit I wear on the show."

Corrin is practically unknown in the industry so far.

In 2018 she played a supporting role in an episode of the British crime series "Grantchester", her feature film debut in the dramatic comedy "Misbehavior" is not due to be released in England until this year.

Here, too, she only plays a supporting role alongside Keira Knightley.

"This is surreal" - with these words Corrin had commented on her new role.

"I will try to do her justice," wrote the British woman in a statement.
