(ANSA) - ROME, 09 SEPT - The new company for Alitaliapubblica will be called upon to "prepare and implement development projects capable of ensuring competitiveness, through new alliances and partnerships and at the same time safeguarding employment levels".
This was assured by the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Paola De Micheli in a hearing at the Transport Commission of the Chamber, announcing that the inter-ministerial decree for the establishment of the new company has been sent to the competent ministers.
The newco, he specified, "will operate in absolute discontinuity" with respect to the old Alitalia and the State will not be present "for an unlimited time".
"Once the initial phase of the industrial plan has been completed - the minister added - there will be the conditions to be able to access the airline market to the possibility of building alliances, synergies, as well as possible partnerships".
