Competitiveness clusters fulfill their mission

These structures, bringing together companies and training or research centers, have a positive effect on the employment of SMEs.


Competitiveness clusters are continuing their transformation.

Founded in 2004, these structures aim to promote innovation within French industry by bringing together companies of different sizes, training centers and research units.

In 2019, a fourth development phase was launched, with the ambition of bringing more French projects to a European scale.

A recent study, co-funded by France Strategy, a think tank attached to Matignon, and the General Commission for Territorial Equality, validates this choice, while highlighting the difficulty of precisely measuring the positive effects generated by the poles.
