The 2020-21 Serie B football championship, now in its 89th edition, will begin on September 26th (or rather on the 25th with the usual early match).
The tournament will end on Friday 7 May 2021 to allow the dispute of the playoffs and playout first of the withdrawal of the national teams.
It will also be played on Easter Monday, Monday 5 April.
The new calendar confirms the already tested Christmas format, "which has become - as the president of the Lega di B Mauro Balata points out - now a particularly popular fixture in terms of sporting spectacle and visibility": on the field on 27, 30 December and On January 3, the team will be back on the field on the 16th. "As requested by the presidents of the clubs, the national break will be respected also given the numerous players called up during these commitments". Eight midweek shifts (20 October; 15, 22 and 30 December; 9 February; 2 and 16 March; 20 April).
