Artist Zeev Engelmayr, who was arrested in his well-known figure "Shoshka" last Saturday in Balfour, posted on his Facebook page that he intends to file a civil lawsuit against the two police officers who arrested him, for humiliating and unnecessarily stripping him.

Engelmeier claims that this was a "violent and unfounded arrest, on a section that is not stipulated in the law, of 'sexual harassment against the public'".

Engelmayr further noted in the post that during the arrest one of the officers placed a hand on his throat, in a manner that the artist experienced suffocation and distress with no ability to breathe.

"To this day, four days after the incident, no one in the police took responsibility, did not apologize," Engelmeier wrote, adding that "all this happened after I knew the policemen at the 'Winter Noise' event I was invited by the Jerusalem municipality to appear in the city, and the municipality's attorney general. He ruled that Shoshka had the right to perform in Jerusalem, in the name of freedom of expression.

The police ignored this information. "

At the same time, dozens of Israeli illustrators and cartoonists are expected to take part in a demonstration in support of Engelmeier, at the upcoming demonstration in Balfour on Saturday. The police station to release Shoshka on bail has long gone viral, with the addition of Mish, Avi Katz, Yaniv Shimoni, Yonatan Waxman, Nosko, Michel Kishka and many more.

As mentioned, Engelmeier was arrested on suspicion of sexual harassment.

After being questioned, it was alleged that the police officers who made the arrest did not know his character "Shoshka", and believed that this was a mock parody directed against the prime minister's wife, Sarah Netanyahu.

Engelmeier claimed to have undergone an invasive and degrading investigation that included a rectal examination, without justification.

On Monday, the artist filed a complaint with the police against his arrest.
