How to bake the butter cake with apple and flaked almonds

  • Warm some milk to hand warmth and crumble the yeast and about a tablespoon of the sugar into it.

Stir once, cover and let stand for about ten minutes.

During this time the yeast is activated, which you can see from the rising bubbles.

  • Gently melt the butter - it shouldn't brown - and let it cool.

  • Put the flour in a bowl, make a small depression in the middle and pour in the yeast milk and then the rest of the lukewarm milk, the butter, the eggs, the sugar, the vanilla sugar and the pinch of salt.

  • Knead everything into a sticky dough and leave it covered in a warm place for about an hour until its volume has doubled.

  • Preheat your oven to 200 ° C top / bottom heat.

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and roll out the yeast dough evenly on it.

Then cover again and let rise for half an hour.

  • Then press the cold, diced butter gently into the dough at regular intervals.

  • Peel and core the apple and cut it into quarters and then into slices.

Also distribute this evenly on the dough.

  • Now sprinkle the sugar and flaked almonds on top.

  • Then bake the cake until golden brown for 20 minutes.

  • Then take it out of the oven and then pour the cream evenly over the hot cake.

Immediately after baking, pour the cream evenly over the hot cake.
