After 170 years Cassa Depositi e Prestiti 'comes home'.
In fact, the new territorial headquarters of Cdp were inaugurated today in Turin, the city where the body was born in 1850 and where new offices have now been opened for the support of businesses and the Public Administration.
"We go back to where we started" underlines the president Giovanni Gorno Tempini highlighting that "today we are here to reaffirm our commitment to the territory and the growth of the country. A commitment made with an industrial plan - he adds - strongly devoted to presence on the territory, an important step to strengthen dialogue and get closer to places where the needs of our interlocutors can more easily be intercepted ".
The plan has already seen the opening, before Turin, of the offices in Verona, Naples and Genoa, and plans to reach 16 physical centers by 2020, including real offices and corners, and 26 in 2021. In Turin Cdp found a home in Via Corte d'Appello 10, a listed historic building which housed the prefecture in the 19th century and which will also see the institution's commitment to its restoration.
In about 400 square meters 12 people will work, including Cdp, Sace and Simest, with activities that will allow to support over 12,600 companies and more than 1,300 public bodies in Piedmont and Valle d'Aosta and to enhance the synergies with banking partners and institutions. locals.
The offer includes the entire range of products of the Cdp Group and the new advisory activities.
"With the new offices we want to give a tangible sign of closeness to the territories, and where we have done so we have seen the results - says CEO Fabrizio Palermo -. We are happy with the results achieved in Turin, where we had signed a protocol with the city that it has been fully completed. And we are ready to sign others for other challenging results ".
A commitment welcomed with enthusiasm by the mayor Chiara Appendino.
"The objectives of the protocol signed less than a year ago - he observes - were achieved because we shared the objectives, because there were skills and professionalism and because there were economic resources. These three elements are what are needed to address the challenges and bringing home the results and these are what we will put on artificial intelligence. And I am sure that CDP will also help us in this great challenge that could change the face of the city ".
Collaboration and presence on the territory are key words also highlighted by the regional councilor Andrea Tronzano and by the presidents of the Compagnia di San Paolo Foundation and the Crt Foundation, Francesco Profumo and Giovanni Quaglia, who spoke of today as "a point of arrival but also a starting point for the growth and development of the country ".
