Infections are on the rise, almost 1,600 in 24 hours. 10 victims

Coronavirus infections in Italy are still on the rise: 1,597 cases registered in the last 24 hours (yesterday they were 1,434) for a total of 283,180. From the data of the Ministry of Health, however, a decrease in the number of victims emerges, 10 in one day while yesterday they were 14. (ANSA)


(ANSA) - ROME, SEPTEMBER 10 - Coronavirus infections in Italy are still on the rise: 1,597 cases registered in the last 24 hours (yesterday they were 1,434) for a total of 283,180.

From the data of the Ministry of Health, however, a decrease in the number of victims emerges, 10 in one day while yesterday they were 14. The overall total of deaths thus rises to 35,587.

The number of tampons carried out also decreased: 94,186, just under two thousand less than yesterday.

The regions that show the greatest increases are Lombardy (+245 cases in 24 hours), Campania (+180), Lazio (+163), Veneto (+147), Emilia Romagna (+110) and Sicily (+106).

Only one region has zero new cases, the Aosta Valley.


   And the number of Covid 19 patients, hospitalizations in intensive care units and those in other hospital departments are also increasing.

From the data of the Minister of Health it emerges that there are currently 35,708 positive, 613 more than yesterday, 164 people hospitalized in intensive care (14 more) and 1,836 in other wards, 58 more than on Wednesday.

The number of people in home isolation is also increasing: they were 32,806 yesterday, they are 33,708 today, with an increase of 902. Finally, the discharged and healed, finally, are 211,885, 613 more in the last 24 hours.
