(ANSA) - BERLIN, 10 SEPTEMBER - "We cannot be satisfied with the European migration policy. In practice today it does not exist and it is a heavy burden for Europe": German Chancellor Angela Merkel said this without halting terms in a meeting with the president of the EPP Donald Tusk at the KonradAdenauer foundation in Berlin, commenting on his and French President Emmanuel Macron's decision to welcome 400 unaccompanied minors from the Moria camp on the Greek island of Lesbos.
Merkel also announced her intention to move forward on this issue during the German presidency semester. The Chancellor then clarified that the decision to welcome the minors from the Moria camp started from a telephone request from the Greek Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
