British actress Diana Rig, remembered as the mother of her mother Phil in the TV series "The Avengers" and Lady Olena Tyrell in "Game of Thrones", passed away last night (Wednesday to Thursday) at the age of 82. A statement from her agent said: Who seeks privacy in these difficult times. "

Alongside her memorable roles on television, Rig was known for portraying Tracy, the wife of James Bond.

Rig began her career in the acting world in 1957 when she acted in plays and theater plays.

She has been nominated four times for the Tony Award, for her Broadway appearances.

In 1994, she even won the prestigious award, for her performance in the lead role in the play "Medea".

At the same time, the actress nurtured an extensive film career, and participated in films such as "A Midsummer Night's Dream" from 1968 and "Her Majesty's Secret Service", in which she played the only woman who was the wife of the famous spy agent James Bond. 

During her long career she won the BAFTA Award (British Oscar) and Emmy Award. In 1972 she was also nominated for a Golden Globe Award, for her role in the film "Hospital". Younger TV viewers usually remember her from her role in the hit and cult series "Game of Thrones" , Where she played the grandmother of Margery and Loras Tyrell, who earned the nickname "Queen of the Thorns". 

Even in her advanced age she continued to play and appear in TV series.

She most recently starred in the British Channel 5 drama, in a modern adaptation of the series "All Creatures Great and Small" ("All Creatures, Big and Small").

During her life, Rig married and divorced twice.

She is survived by a daughter, an actress too, and a long and glorious six-decade-old city.
