(ANSA) - PARIS, 11 SEPTEMBER - The French Prime Minister, Jean Castex, presenting the new provisions against the coronavirus in Paris, said that 42 departments are in red alert, that is to say where the virus is actively circulating. "This classification - he explained - does not involve automatic consequences but allows the prefect in coordination with the health authorities and local representatives to adopt additional risk reduction measures, in particular on the use of the mask, gatherings in public spaces, large events or opening hours of some shops". The premier also reported that he had asked the prefecticians involved to propose "new complementary measures by Monday".
