Layered desserts in a glass are quick and easy to prepare.

This recipe for a trifle with blueberries and mascarpone will take you to dessert heaven.

Trifles are originally an English

dessert

* that consists of several layers:

custard (a type of pudding), fruit of

your

choice or jam, sponge cake and whipped cream

.

But you can of course also modify it a little and, for example, add a layer of biscuits and use another creamy ingredient such as mascarpone instead of cream.

The main thing is the layers, which, thanks to their combination, offer a top-class taste experience.

It should be at least

three layers with different consistencies

- crispy, creamy and fruity - for a delicious trifle.

So everyone with a sweet tooth is happy too, there is something for everyone: an

all-in-one dessert

Trifle in the glass with mascarpone and blueberries: the preparation

  • Pick and wash the

    blueberries

    , then pat them dry.

  • Marinate the berries with 2 tablespoons of orange juice and, if desired, 2 tablespoons of liqueur.

  • Put the mascarpone, yoghurt, 4 tablespoons of powdered sugar and 1 tablespoon of orange juice in a bowl and stir the mixture with a whisk until smooth.

  • Cut

    a few shavings

    from the

    chocolate

for decoration and set them aside.

Finely chop the remaining chocolate and stir into the mascarpone cream.

You can season the cream to taste and add some orange juice or sugar if you like.

  • Now flavor about 6 tablespoons of orange juice with the rest of the liqueur as desired.

  • Crumble the ladyfingers in

    four dessert

    glasses and drizzle

    with the liqueur-juice mixture.

  • Spread the marinated blueberries on the sponge cake base.

Leave a few berries for decoration.

  • Now put the mascarpone cream on the berry layer.

  • Now the trifle has to sit in the refrigerator for about 4 hours.

  • Just

    before serving, decorate

the glasses with the remaining blueberries and chocolate shavings.

  • The eye also eats with this recipe - the layered dessert really comes into its own in small glasses.

If you want to do without alcohol,

    simply use

    more orange juice

    instead of the liqueur

    .

And of course you can change the fruit according to your preferences and

    season

: the dessert is also delicious with raspberries or strawberries.
