Countdown to school resumption on Monday 14 September.
"Everything is under control. We have prepared ourselves to face the problems one by one. If there are positive children, the territorial prevention department will intervene.
I am convinced that school is the safest place of all at the moment
. School will start on 14, an extraordinary job was done ", said the Minister of Education Lucia Azzolina, on a visit this morning in Biella to the Comprehensive Institute of the second circle of Chiavazza.
"We prepared ourselves - he added - by arranging spaces and carrying out light construction works. At the end of June we gave precise guidelines".
"If there are uncertainties they are due more to the distorted information that is given than to the rules we have given and which are precise - said Lucia Azzolina - I am sure that families and school staff know exactly what they have to do. "Some cases have already happened in Italy in which a sick child has been found in the classroom and the school has already started for days. There are precise protocols and procedures to be applied".
Azzolina also made it known that the government could "challenge the decree of the Piedmont Region" which requires schools to check the temperature of students.
