The Ministry of Health added muscle pain or myalgia as a new symptom compatible with coronavirus and stressed that any person who begins with sudden loss of taste or smell without just cause can also be confirmed as a positive case.

suspected case is
any person, of any age, who presents
two or more
of the following
symptoms
: fever of 37.5 degrees or more;
cough;
sore throat;
shortness of breath;
sudden loss of taste or smell;
headache;
myalgia and diarrhea or vomiting.
In order to determine a suspected case of coronavirus,
laboratory confirmation is in force
for every suspected case with a detectable result of the SARS-CoV-2 viral genome through direct techniques, the Ministry of Health highlighted in a statement.
In addition, confirmation is taken into account through
clinical-epidemiological criteria
for all those people who in the last 14 days have been in close contact with a confirmed case of Covid-19 or are part of a cluster of cases with at least one confirmed case by laboratory, and present two or more of the symptoms of the disease.
The health portfolio highlighted that all cases confirmed by clinical-epidemiological criteria "must be clinically evaluated to identify warning signs and / or differential diagnoses, throughout their evolution."
He pointed out that a laboratory diagnosis will be sought "for cases confirmed by clinical epidemiological criteria of patients with clinical criteria for hospitalization, people with risk factors, pregnant people and health workers."
In the case of health workers, people who reside or work in closed institutions or prolonged hospitalization, essential personnel or people who reside in popular neighborhoods or indigenous peoples, "they will be considered suspicious cases if they are close contact of a confirmed case of coronavirus and have 1 or more of the symptoms described within 14 days after contact. "
The Ministry of Health maintained the definition of a suspected case in pediatrics for children and adolescents from 0 to 18 years of age with multisystemic inflammatory syndrome.
