"We are in a real war that has dead people in our inpatient wards," said Prof. Avishai Ellis, director of the inpatient department at Rabin Medical Center and chairman of the Association of Internal Inpatient Department Directors, at a press conference today (Sunday) about the medical staff's growing number of patients.

"111 inpatient department managers and thousands of nurses are the real soldiers in this war. We all want to send a clear message: the disease is not just our war but the public's, everyone's. The sound from the patient's bed is not heard enough. We want to get a message across, from the hospitals. As medical professionals, to the general public: morbidity can be reduced by the responsible behavior of all of us.

"Medicine is not an exact science. The disease is terrible. Unlike other diseases like the flu, the disease takes a large proportion of patients to very difficult districts. Some patients will breathe, and some will die. We come out with an excited call for everyone - not to deal with numbers or graphs. Mutual guarantee and action. "Those who want to make a living, spend time and be healthy, you have tools - the mask, avoiding crowds and patience. This is what will help fight the plague."

Dr. Dror Dicker, Head of the Internal Medicine Department at Hasharon Hospital: "For the past six months, we have been bearing the burden of treating Corona patients.

There are 41 corona wards in the hospitals in the State of Israel, most of which are operated within the 110 internal wards.

The collapse of the hospital system is a laundered name for the collapse of the internal medicine departments and the corona wards.

"Out of 3,800 beds in boarding schools there are now 30% less and this is a serious problem. The volume of our patients is not decreasing. There are no fewer diabetics, neurologists or patients with cardiovascular disease. These days Corona occupies over 100 percent. Where to hospitalize these patients? Density Rising at a dizzying pace.

"The disease has become a plague of numbers. We have dehumanized the virus. Numbers are not breathing. The significance of the disease and the importance of adhering to guidelines must be recognized. As the justified suffering of those who have lost their livelihoods must be shown, "The plague, but I do not know how we will get out of it socially. We must learn to live with the disease and not die from it. Let us live and maintain our health."

Dr. Gadi Segal, Director of the Internal and Corona Departments at Tel Hashomer: "Everyone analyzes the morbidity situation with graphs, numbers, percentages and data.

Medicine is not an exact science.

Clinical medicine is an art.

This disease is terrible.

Large parts will pass it easily, but unlike many other diseases this disease takes a regular share of those infected into very bad districts.

It causes severe illness and respiratory failure.

A fixed percentage of these people die.

We can not afford this to happen.

We ask not to engage in statistics.

We must discover mutual guarantee.

Closure is a way in which the government helps the population get out of an epidemic.

It causes social and economic harm.

We do not want to get into such a situation.

If everyone made a closure for themselves, put on a mask and avoided a crowd there would be no need for mass measures.

The mask is for the benefit of health and the economy, for the benefit of the work and pastimes of us all.

"We will not give up on anyone, neither the elderly nor the young people with background diseases. It is out of the question for us doctors, who preserve human dignity and life. We have an oath and we have sworn to fulfill it."
