A new TV movie from HBO called "Corona Time" will air tonight (Sunday) on yes, HOT and Cellcom TV.

This is a unique project that has been produced and filmed in the last two months under the limits of social distance, and features actresses like Bette Midler, Isa Ray and Sarah Paulson.

The satirical comedy consists of five separate, theatrical monologues.

Each monologue is performed by a different character, and they all try to deal with the reality of the corona that has been imposed on all of us.

Each of the five monologues is 20-15 minutes old, and is a part of itself in the film.

Each time a different character looks directly at the camera and brings her story.

Betty Midler plays an opinionated retired teacher from New York who talks to the camera in a police interrogation room after she is arrested.

Dan Levy, the Jewish-Canadian actor and screenwriter nominated for Emmy on the series "Schitt's Creek," plays a gay actor in a zoom conversation with his therapist, ahead of an audition for a film with a first-rate superhero.

The creator of the "Unsafe" series and its star, Isa Ray, plays a rich girl who works for a charity and talks about the protest of the black community with a friend with whom she studied at a prestigious boarding school (where Ivanka Trump also studied).

Sarah Paulson ("America vs. O.J. Simpson") is a spiritual therapist who conducts a video meditation workshop.

Caitlin Diver ("Private Justice," "Unbelievable") is a hospital nurse who shares through the camera the difficulties of her work following the Corona.

The screenplay is signed by veteran playwright Paul Radnik ("The Blues Nuns," "Stepford Wives"), and the director is Jay Roach, who has directed successful comedies such as the "Austin Powers" and "Meet the Parents" series, as well as drama films such as "Rules of the Game" (about Sarah Palin) and "Bomb" starring Charlize Theron (about the sexual harassment affair on Fox News).

In an online panel promoting the film, Roach said: "When I read the script I imagined what the film would look like, with each actor speaking alone to the camera, and I realized we were all alone but doing it together. I empathized with the characters, laughed and shed a tear. "There was an extraordinary feeling that an excellent script connects us all. The logistical constraints challenged me as a filmmaker in parameters such as the angle of photography and lighting. The actors photographed their homes for me, so we could choose the right location in their background.

Bett Midler, 74, said that during the filming she felt like it was a solo show in a theater.

"It's very strange. Different from being isolated in a recording studio. At least there are people coming in and out and full of food, here I was lonely and hungry," she said humorously, "but I identified with the character, a woman full of opinions about the current administration. White, so I felt purified, but I'm still anxious and angry.

"At Showbiz we found that contrary to popular belief, we are not immune to the crisis.

In the days of the Great Depression 100 years ago, the film industry operated as usual.

But here we are unemployed, and happy whenever some gig is possible.

I generally feel that we are stuck on a spaceship somewhere in outer space and it is not known where it is headed. "
