(ANSA) - ROME, SEPTEMBER 13 - "It is time for the British government to assume its responsibilities. The international credibility of the United Kingdom is at stake". The President of the European Council, Charles Michel, wrote it on Twitter after a telephone conversation with Irish Prime Minister Michael Martin, inviting London to "fully apply" the agreement on Brexit. Meanwhile, the British Minister of Justice, Robert Auckland, is ready to resign if London should overturn the agreement on Brexit signed with Brussels in an "unacceptable" way, thus violating international law: he himself told the BBC while the pressure on Downing remains Street regarding the anticipated legislation that would cancel parts of the agreement to withdraw the country from the European Union.
