As soon as the first cases were reported in early September, all residents and staff were tested.

"To date, 49 residents and 20 staff members are positive for COVID-19 and 4 residents are hospitalized at Rodez hospital, including one in intensive care," said the Regional Health Agency (ARS) Occitanie on Saturday, before the death of a fifth person this Sunday.

Reinforcements called

"In addition to the nursing reinforcements already on site (nurses and nursing assistants), 4 people from civil protection arrived on Saturday", further specifies the ARS.

“In order to obtain additional staff reinforcement, the Gloriande EHPAD registered on the national online platform Renfort RH,” the press release continued.

This platform allows establishments to specify their needs and health professionals to offer their help ”.
