(ANSA) - ROME, SEPTEMBER 15 - From tomorrow at the Fiumicino airport, testing begins on two Rome-Milan 'COVID Free' flights, that is, with only negative passengers on board.

The joint initiative between AdR, Alitalia and the Lazio Region makes it possible to increase safety in the Capitoline airport.

The two flights, out of the seven operating on the route, will take off from Rome-Fiumicino and land at Milan-Linate and will carry only passengers who have performed the rapid antigen test before embarking or who presents the certification of a molecular or antigenic pad carried out in the 72 hours prior to departure and who are negative.

The experimentation aims to "start a path of recovery of air traffic".

For this reason, it could involve other routes and other flights "with particular reference to international and intercontinental connections to and from the origins of epidemiological situations of greater attention or for which, in the absence of preventive screening or other special precautionary measures, fiduciary isolation obligations or other restrictions are currently in force".

Therefore we try to increase safety to increase passenger confidence.

The experimentation concerns the flight AZ 2038 at 13:30 and AZ 2092 at 17:30.

Passengers are advised to arrive early because, if they do not have the certificate certifying its negativity, they can use deidrive in for the rapid antigen test in Fiumicino.
