(ANSA) - ROME, SEPTEMBER 16 - There are 1,452 infected with Covid in the last 24 hours, an increase compared to yesterday's 1,229 but identified with a greater number of tampons: over one hundred thousand compared to 80 thousand on Tuesday.
The total number of infected people, including victims and healed, therefore rises to 291,442 while that of those discharged and healed is 215,265, 620 more than yesterday.
The increase in deaths is also increasing: 12 in one day while yesterday there were 9, for a total of 35,645.
Neither region has zero cases.
The currently positives have exceeded 40 thousand, a number never higher since the beginning of June (on the 2nd, for the first time in months, the number of patients dropped to 39,893).
According to data from the Ministry of Health, the current illnesses are in fact 40,532 with an increase of 820 compared to Tuesday.
The number of hospitalized in ordinary wards is also increasing - 63 more than yesterday for a total of 2,285 - and in intensive care: now there are 207 patients, 6 more than yesterday.
Instead of 751 the increase of people in homecare isolation which to date are 38,040.
