(ANSA) - ROME, SEPTEMBER 16 - A disturbance in transit on the sea will bring a wave of bad weather to the southern regions in the next few hours, with rains, thunderstorms and strong winds.
On the basis of available forecasts, the Department of Civil Protection has issued a weather alert that foresees widespread rainfall, locally even very intense and accompanied by lightning, hailstorms and strong gusts of wind, on the central-southern sectors of Calabria and north-eastern Sicily from the evening. Strong winds up to storms are also expected on the Ionian sectors of Sicily and Calabria. Based on the expected phenomena, the Department has also assessed an orange alert on the two regions for tomorrow.
