Social networks have become one of the most popular means of communication for all of us to communicate with each other in recent years.
This matter became even more acute during the Corona period, when we were required to stay at home from time to time.
Along with this technological development, the networks have also introduced unhealthy elements into our lives such as extreme extremism, racism and the rapid spread of Pike News, without regulated testing mechanisms.
In recent weeks, human rights organizations that are regularly protesting against these phenomena have put a new initiative on the agenda - to disconnect for 24 hours from social networks, Facebook and Instagram, to which the finger of blame is pointed for their lenient policies, and not post anything at this time.
The initiative swept away many stars, including Gal Gadot.
The Israeli actress published a post in support of the protest and wrote: "Although I like to communicate with all of you through social networks and feel close to you, I can not sit back and see how Facebook allows hatred and extremism to spread faster than ever."

She went on to call on her followers to do the same: "Join me and together we will stand up with civil rights organizations who have called on all Instagram and Facebook users to protest the rise of hatred, racism and undermining democracy through these platforms, by freezing our accounts without posting for 24 hours."
"This should be an opportunity for Facebook to work with these organizations and with the community at large," Gadot concluded, "in order to stop the spread of disinformation and make Facebook a safer platform for everyone."
