The Russian-Austrian soprano Anna Netrebko says she is in hospital because of pneumonia caused by the corona virus.
As the 48-year-old announced on Instagram, she is on the mend.
"I've been in the hospital for five days with Covid pneumonia and I'll be better soon," she wrote.

She immediately went into isolation when she realized she was getting sick, wrote Netrebko.
Initially, however, her corona tests were still negative.
But then she got to the hospital on time and received help.
Netrebko is apparently not afraid of a more severe course of the disease.
"Everything will be fine! The devil is not as terrible as he is described," said the singer.
She also announced that she had made a conscious decision against simply sitting at home in the corona pandemic.
You made a conscious decision to work and the associated risk.
The Bolshoi Theater canceled the opera "Don Carlos" after the singer Ildar Abdrasakow was also absent due to an infection with the corona virus.
In addition to Netrebko, her husband Yusif Eyvazov should also appear in the production.
Netrebko wrote that antibodies had already been found in him.
Her son is also doing well.
The Bolshoi Theater did not reopen for the first time until September 6th after it was closed due to the pandemic on March 16.
