The daughter and father's joint drug trip ended in a hospital in North Rhine-Westphalia.

According to a police report, the 43-year-old gave the 16-year-old girl "magic mushrooms" from his own cultivation.

The incident took place on Saturday evening in Kerpen, southwest of Cologne.

The 16-year-old vomited several times after eating it and developed massive circulatory problems, so the father dialed the emergency number.

The girl came to a hospital.

Permanent health consequences are not to be expected.

Better not with strangers

The daughter should have tried the "magic mushrooms" with him rather than having this experience with strangers on the street, the man said, according to the police.

The mushrooms contain the active ingredient psilocybin, which can cause hallucinations.

The man ordered the seeds on the Internet and grew the mushrooms himself - in a closet in his apartment.

The officers collected leftover mushrooms.

The man awaits criminal proceedings for the cultivation, possession and distribution of drugs.
