Marion Fedder did not hesitate long: the widow of the late actor Jan Fedder wanted to help the main Protestant church Sankt Michael, also known as Hamburger Michel, when she heard that the building was in danger.

She had "Bronko", Fedder's Ford Explorer and the last "Großstadtrevier" car, auctioned.

The church is to receive the donation sum of 61,201 euros in order to be able to keep its operations going.

"When I heard that the Michel was in need due to Corona, I decided to help," Marion Fedder had announced the auction.

The car (built in 1993) played a major role in Jan Fedder's life.

"Bronko" was not only the favorite of the actor on the film set of the "metropolitan area", but also privately.

As a police officer Dirk Matthies, Jan Fedder had ensured law and order in the Hamburg neighborhood for decades in the ARD early evening series "Großstadtrevier".

He died on December 30, 2019 at the age of 64 after a long-standing cancer.

Since the beginning of September, a Michel plaque on the church square of St. Michaelis Church has also commemorated the popular actor.

The funeral service took place on January 14th.

Since then, many people had paid their last respects to the actor at his grave in the Ohlsdorf cemetery and left flowers and messages.
