The fires in Córdoba returned and once again the residents of the towns affected by the fire had to fight the flames as best they could.

But in some cases the drama was worse: standing up, and defeated, they had to be spectators of the destruction of their properties.

Fabian Manzoni watched helplessly as the fire devoured his house in the Los Quimbaletes neighborhood, in Villa Giardino.

"I had to let it turn on and lose everything, nothing could be done, I thank each and every one of my neighbors, I only saw them get into my shoes," said Manzoni.

Desolate, Fabián uploaded photos on his Facebook account of how his property was after the fire, and in the images you can see the burnt and blackish remains of what was once his house, a dream in the mountains, a refuge built to the lung.

The ruins after the devastating passage of the fire.

The neighbors of the neighborhood gathered wills

to help him and posted bank account numbers on social networks so that people can deposit what they can to help Fabián rebuild his home.

It would be a feat from scratch, because only the foundations have remained.

This was the property before the fire.

"We lost a cabin and a workshop, a whole small undertaking,

achieved with effort, I received messages from beautiful people I love and from people I don't know but whose words help me get through this moment. Thank you all! And let's take care of our earth, our people, enough fire! ", wrote Fabian on his Facebook wall.

Tamara Fulle, Fabián's neighbor, also experienced the moment of terror of having to fight

the fire face to face

.

"At eight in the morning we saw the fire quite far away. But the wind, which was very strong, was bringing it to the neighborhood. At one point we thought it was not going to cross the river. However, the wind pushed it and it succeeded pass the water. I had the fire three meters from my house. We were all the neighbors putting out the fire and people from other neighborhoods, who we did not know, who came to help.

The fire was put out by the neighbors.

There were firefighters, who also helped, but very few, "he says.

The flames about to burn the whole neighborhood.

He says that at one point the flames enveloped Fabian's cabin and there was nothing to do.

"He is destroyed because he lost everything. There was nothing left

.

"

He also says that in the neighborhood there is a feeling of sadness since before "we lived in a paradise full of native forests and flowers, now we are surrounded by a black spot.

This is an ecological disaster."

Tamara and her family were from eleven in the morning until three in the afternoon putting out the flames.

"We put the body in and we managed to stop it. This is the first time we have experienced something like this. I have lived here for 15 years, and there was never a fire like this."

The black stain the fire left on Giardino.

Laura, another neighbor, said that "at eight in the morning there was already the smell of smoke. We woke up and saw that the mountains were burning in the distance. Two hours later the fire was already here. It arrived very quickly. In front of our house the flames reached ten meters and that was when we decided to run ”.

The woman came to take only the documentation of the house and the ID cards before leaving her place: “I told my three children 'Let's run!'

I felt like the fire was on me and when I turned around, everything was already catching on.

You couldn't see anything because of the smoke, "he said.

The house directly opposite his

was completely destroyed by flames.

Firefighters say the fire may have reached a 100-pound jug at a time when the wind suddenly changed.

Laura's family never heard an explosion.

On the other hand, Juan Nicastro, a journalist for Radio La Minga and part of the Giardino Neighborhood Brigade, also lamented that some houses were burned.

But he criticized both the Cordovan and national authorities for carrying out a strategy against

the fires that for him is wrong.

The same area before the fire.

"They let the fire advance. Instead of protecting the houses, the native forests have to be protected because the ecological damage is very serious."

He pointed out that the fires are "intentional" and that they seek "economic" benefits.

"This is terrorism. There are videos and photos of people on motorcycles and on horses starting fires."

He also mentioned that the situation is very serious because there are many sources of fires and they are very diversified.

The fires in the mountains of Córdoba do not give truce.

Even after having contained two outbreaks in the early morning, during the morning of Wednesday, already damaged areas were activated again and even new areas of activity appeared.

Governor Juan Schiaretti asked to preserve people's lives and assured state aid for the victims. The province's director of Civil Defense, Diego Concha, told Télam that all the outbreaks “are very complicated and the task of everything is incessant. the staff".

The official referred to the four major claims that are registered: one in the vicinity of the town of Villa Giardino;

another that takes place from Monday night between Villa Carlos Paz and San Antonio de Arredondo;

one in the Los Quebrachitos de Unquillo reserve, which was restarted after being controlled in the morning;

and another in Los Morteritos, near Mina Clavero.
