(ANSA) - NEW YORK, SEPTEMBER 24 - On 9 October John Lennon would have turned 80 and to celebrate the anniversary BBC Radio2 will broadcast a two-part documentary with interviews created by his son Sean Ono Lennon.
Sean also bears the surname of his mother Yoko Ono.
In what will be his first radio broadcast on his father (John Lennon At 80), Sean, among other things born on the day of Lennon's 35th birthday, October 9 but 1975, interviews his stepbrother Julian Lennon, the former god Beatles Paul McCartney and Elton John (his godfather) to talk about both the private life and the legendary career of the musician killed on December 8, 1980 in New York.
This year also marks the 40th anniversary of his death.
It is also the first time that Sean and Julian Lennon have spoken publicly about their father together.
The documentary broadcast in two parts, each one hour long, offers a unique perspective on Lennon's life.
