Time to take out the umbrella: In many places it will be wet in the coming days

Almost on time for the beginning of autumn, the weather in Germany becomes more changeable.
From continuous rain to thunderstorms and wind to snow in the Alps - it is getting less comfortable all over Germany.
There is "momentum in the weather kitchen", according to a meteorologist from the German Weather Service (DWD).
However, that is not all that unusual for September.
Everyone will feel the cooler air in the coming days.
In Berlin, for example, the temperature drops to 17 degrees Celsius on Friday before only a cool 13 degrees would be reached on the weekend.
According to the meteorologist, a large low pressure complex over Central Europe provides for this change in weather conditions, more precisely the lows Valentina over northern Norway, Wicca over northern Germany and Xyla over northern Italy.
In the west it loosens up locally
According to the DWD, on Friday it will be wet, especially from the Baltic Sea to Saxony as well as in southern Germany, with hours of rainfall could lead to considerable amounts of water.
At the edge of the Alps, 40 to 70 liters per square meter are possible within 48 hours by Saturday evening.
In the Alps, snow can then fall above around 1500 meters.
To the west, however, there are only occasional showers and the clouds even loosen up locally.
Temperatures are mostly 13 to 17 degrees, which is cool for September, according to the DWD.
Saturday then turns out to be gray and rainy across the country, lightening is most likely on the North Sea, in the northwest and west at a fresh 9 to 14 degrees.
It remains a little milder on the coasts.
The snow line on the Alps drops to 1200 meters.
A changeable, rather rainy and cool day is also on the horizon for Sunday.
