: Together with foreign universities, your institute surveyed attitudes towards the corona pandemic in April, June and September: Germans, British, Danes, Dutch, French, Portuguese and Italians.
What is the main result?

Jonas Schreyögg, born in 1976, is Scientific Director at the Hamburg Center for Health Economics.
The professor of business administration teaches management in health care at the University of Hamburg.
He is one of seven members of the renowned Expert Council for the assessment of developments in the healthcare sector.
Schreyögg
: In all seven countries, vaccination readiness fell further in September compared to June.
It ranges from 48 percent in France to 74 percent in Denmark.
In Germany, 57 percent of those questioned would be ready for a vaccination.
In April it was 70 percent.
SPIEGEL
: So almost a million people worldwide have died from the virus, and at the same time fewer and fewer Europeans want to be vaccinated?
Schreyögg
: Yes, although willingness to vaccinate is strongly influenced by culture.
In Denmark or Great Britain it has fallen from a very high level to a still high level, in Great Britain from 79 to 72 percent.
One reason is doubts about the safety of a vaccine.
Our data show: the higher the trust in government information, the greater the willingness to vaccinate.
In contrast, the willingness to vaccinate has decreased in people with low confidence since the beginning of the pandemic.
In Germany in April only 10 percent of those questioned were strictly against vaccination.
Now it is 21 percent, in France even 29 percent.
