(ANSA) - FOGGIA, 24 SEPT - Two very rare black storks, perhaps the only pair that nests in Capitanata, were killed in a pre-opening day of the hunt near the regional natural park of Bosco dell'Incoronata, in Foggia. This is what the Onlus Naturalistic Studies Center - Pro Natura Federation - communicates, which reports the report issued by the Experimental Zooprophylactic Institute of Puglia and Basilicata which speaks of: "presence of metal bodies referable to hunting pellets". According to the Onlus Naturalistic Studies Center, the storks were killed by hunters: "that on 6 September 2020 they turned into brutal poachers". The study center asks both administrators and the political class to strengthen hunting surveillance and to give a strong commitment to protect biodiversity. (HANDLE).
