(ANSA) - LONDON, SEPTEMBER 25 - New peak of coronavirus cases in the United Kingdom from May according to daily data released by the government, which however indicate a slowdown in the increase, with 6,874 infections recorded in the last 24 hours against 6,634 yesterday when the difference it had been about 500 more. The daily number of deaths stood at 40 (excluding Scotland which did not provide statistics today), while the daily tests climb to the European record in an absolute figure of over 245,000. The current sum of people hospitalized and in intensive care is lower than in Italy, respectively at 1,616 (against 2,737) and 228 total (244). (HANDLE).
