This morning's attack was carried out in Rue Nicolas-Appert, right in front of the old headquarters of Charlie Hebdo, the scene of the atrocious attack of 7 January 2015

A second individual was stopped by the police also in the Bastille neighborhood, not far from where the first suspect of the attack had been stopped in front of the former Charlie Hebdo office about an hour ago.
According to reports from France Info radio, the second man was stopped at the "Richard Lenoir" metro station.
The first had been stopped near the Opera Bastille.
The whole area around the rue Nicolas Appert, where the former Charlie Hebdo office stood, is isolated.
The inhabitants are advised not to leave their homes, armored schools and public offices.

The French Prime Minister, Jean Castex, announced on live TV the immediate interruption of his visit to the Seine Saint-Denis, in the banlieue of Paris, to go to the crisis cell set up at the Ministry of the Interior to follow live what is happening in Paris.
The premier confirmed the attack and the wounding of 4 people, two of them serious.
The children and young people of the schools in the neighborhood were confined to schools.
Parents of students from schools around the Bastille have been warned not to try to fetch their children until the alert has subsided.
