Changing diapers, breastfeeding, cooking porridge, pediatrician appointments: does that sound like free time?
Hardly likely.
Nevertheless, mothers and fathers often have to listen to each other during parental leave that they are taking a break.
Singer Katy Perry, who gave birth to her first child a few weeks ago, is apparently annoyed: "Popular misunderstanding: being a mother is not a full-time job," she wrote on Twitter.
"When a mother finally goes back to work (whatever the job), she's not coming back from a month-long 'break' but from a full-time job - as a mother," Perry tweeted.
Then she added, "Call your mom and tell her that you love and appreciate her and that you are committed to paid family vacations."
Perry is in a relationship with Hollywood actor Orlando Bloom.
At the end of August, the couple announced on the Unicef Instagram account that their daughter Daisy Dove Bloom was born.
Together with Unicef, the couple used the post to draw attention to the difficult situation of mothers all over the world.
There is still a shortage of medical staff and a pregnant woman or a newborn baby dies every eleven seconds.
"As parents of a newborn, this breaks our hearts, because now more than ever we have compassion for struggling parents," the two wrote at the time.
The couple said they had set up a fundraising page to celebrate their daughter's arrival.
