Zampa, signed decree for the Gender Medicine Observatory

"Gender medicine takes a step forward. On 22 September I signed the decree, currently being registered, establishing the long-awaited Observatory dedicated to Gender Medicine at the Istituto Superiore di Sanità". (HANDLE)


(ANSA) - ROME, SEPTEMBER 25 - "Gender medicine takes a step forward. Last September 22 I signed the decree, in the process of being registered, establishing the Observatory dedicated to General Medicine at the Superior Institute of Health, for some time expected ".

This was announced by the Undersecretary of the State for Health, Sandra Zampa, thanking "those who worked before me and with me, contributing to the achievement of this important result: from Paola Boldrini to Beatrice Lorenzin and the pioneers who paved the way for gender medicine. Finally, thank you, to Minister Roberto Speranza for his sensitivity and attention to such a delicate issue ".


    "Law no. 3 of 11 January 2018, better known as the 'Lorenzin Law' - adds Zampa - governed the application and dissemination of gender medicine in the National Health Service, including, among other things, the adoption of a Plan aimed at spreading of gender medicine and the establishment of an Observatory dedicated to gender medicine. The establishment of the Observatory will contribute to the full implementation of the four areas of intervention provided for in the Plan: clinical paths of prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation; research and innovation; training and professional updating ; communication and information ".
