(ANSA) - ROME, SEPTEMBER 25 - "Would this be the world you dream of as a child?"

Zucchero sings who, on his 65th birthday, pays homage to the fans with an unpublished video contribution shot in a deserted Piazza San Marco in Venice, performing in a special piano and voice version of the song "Sarebbe questo ilmondo".

"I should have been at the Verona Arena, on stage, as I usually love to spend my birthdays. In the midst of mygent, with my music - declares Zucchero -. This year went differently, but I would like it to come strong, through the notes, a message that, today more than ever, is very heartfelt to me: an invitation to heal, each in their own small way, this world a little sick, to rediscover its genuineness, stop the homologation and rediscover human relationships in all their beauty, simplicity and truth. An invitation to rediscover the value of small things, the true substance of the human being ".

"This would be the world is a little 'rhapsody' - adds Zucchero - written spontaneously, in the wake of childhood memories, of my father, of the dreamy and rich world of simplicity in which I grew up".

Contained in the unreleased "DOC" disc, "Sarebbe questo ilmondo" is a disenchanted analysis of today's world.

Zucchero will present to the Italian public the songs from the "DOC" album and his successes at the Verona Arena, during his 14 shows scheduled for April and May 2021 (postponed due to pandemic).

    These are the 14 new dates: 23, 24, 25, 27, 28, 29, 30 April and 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 May.
